Subject – Food Technology

At Brompton Hall preparing our students for the next step in their life journey is vitally important. One of the most important skills that a pupil can learn is the ability to prepare and cook meals applying the principles of healthy eating and nutrition.

We have a practical approach teaching pupils’ everyday skills and techniques which helps them to understand that cooking is an essential life skill that enables them to feed themselves and others, now and in the future. These skills are underpinned with knowledge about planning meals, sourcing food and developing good hygiene and food safety.  We hope to Instill in our pupils a sense of enjoyment, achievement and a lifelong love of cooking.
