Subject – Geography

At Brompton Hall we believe that Geography is essentially about understanding the world we live in. Pupils are encouraged to develop an understanding of and knowledge about the world, as well as their place in it.

The geography curriculum enables children to develop knowledge and skills that are transferrable to other curriculum areas. Geography is an investigative subject, which develops an understanding of concepts, skills and knowledge.

We want to create in our pupils a fascination and curiosity about the local and global geography and the human and physical impacts on the world and people within it.

We want to promote in our pupils an interest and understanding of diverse people, places, resources and natural and human environments, together with a deep understanding of the Earth’s key physical and human processes.
